Community Involvement

Flagstone would like to share with you the most important thing we do. We truly believe that our success is largely due in part to an on-going commitment in giving back to the community we serve.

As a wise man once said, “It’s better to give than to receive”.

Even though we are not a large publicly traded corporation we feel that every company no matter its size should make an effort to help those in need. Flagstone wants to lead by example in this respect.

We have established a tradition of donating part of the proceeds from each closing to one of the two major charities that we support in the names of our clients. As far as we know we are the only independent mortgage company that has made this commitment as part of its company policy.

The Two Major Charities We Sponsor Are:

Through Houston Habitat for Humanity we participate in a program where we have committed to helping build a home a year for a family that doesn’t have one.  Houston Habitat for Humanity has built over 830 homes since 1987 in the Houston area. We are proud to be a small part of this success.

The Brookwood Community is a God-centered educational, residential, and entrepreneurial community for adults with functional disabilities located in Brookshire, Texas, just west of Houston.  Mission-spirited teachers work with the Brookwood citizens to provide an environment of supervised independence. Brookwood demonstrates that with God’s help, all people have a contribution to make to society if given the opportunity.

Flagstone also contributes annually to the following worthwhile organizations listed below. In, addition we firmly believe in the benefits of higher-education for our community and thus regularly donate money for scholarships to The University of Texas at Austin and its College of Liberal Arts.
